With a weekend off from the FAWPL the NUWFC Reserve Team Manager, Gary Appleton, arranged a friendly game for his team with near neighbours Whitley Bay FC Women.
The fixture was played at Northumbria University Coach Lane and the final score was NUWFC Reserves 2 Whitley Bay FC Ladies 1. The two Newcastle goals were scored by Natalie and Siobhan.
The game gave Gary a chance to take a look at the players he has available for selection for the Reserves next game which is at home on Sunday in the NFA Women’s County Cup against Forest Hall Ladies YPC.

Please Note: The NFA Women’s Cup fixture between Newcastle United Women’s Football Club Reserves and Forest Hall Ladies YPC on Sunday 17th February, 2013 will be played at Northumbria University Coach Lane (main grass pitch) and not the Reserves normal home ground at Northumbria University Bullocksteads and K.O. is at 1.30pm
