Newcastle United Women’s Football Clubs FA Cups 4th Round fixture against Oxford United Ladies will be played at the Kassam Stadium, home to Oxford United FC.
Oxford United Ladies caused the shock of the third round by beating FAWPL National Division Charlton Athletic by two goals to one. Oxford United’s highly successful Ladies team will take on Newcastle United Women’s Football Club at the Kassam Stadium on Sunday 24th February, kick off 1pm.
Oxford United Ladies FC Manager Richard Blackmore said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for the girls to show what they can do and it is very exciting to be playing at the Kassam Stadium. They have had such a great season and this is another sign that we are progressing all the time.”
NUWFC Chairman Phil Eadon said “Everyone at the NUWFC is really excited about progressing in the FA Cup and having the opportunity to travel to play Oxford United in the Fourth Round. This is the first time the two clubs have played each other so we will have to be at our best to progress to the next round. The opportunity to play at the main Oxford United FC’s Stadium is fantastic and we would like to thank to men’s club for their support which will hopefully further raise the profile of the women’s game not only in the Oxford area but to football fans generally.
Admission will be £5 adults and £3 for under 16s/over 65s, cash at the turnstiles.
